Step 3 - Design

Here are some of the typical design elements that reflect the mindset of a Luxury Aesthetic Chasers.

EXTERIOR

  • Local materials - Materials which reflect the local geography and geology, for example local timber, exposed clay brick, sandstone, bamboo or volcanic stone.

  • Proportional - The building should reflect a human scale in sync with its surroundings (as opposed to resembling an out-of-place gigantic spaceship).

INTERIOR

  • Local - Be sure to include plenty of well designed local art, sculpture, fabrics and furniture. It’ll remind your guests no other hotel brand can replicate what you offer.

  • Scale - Grand isn’t necessarily better as far as the luxury aesthetic chasers are concerned.
